A&E are now inviting artists to submit work for ArtSwap 2013.

Exhibition dates: 30th January 2013 - February 4th 2013
Venue: The Albert Project, Queens Park , London NW6
You are invited to submit a piece of your own work that you are happy to exchange for another artists work.
Accepted works are exhibited & then raffled off to fellow participants in a democratic & unpredictable swap. The process calling into question the nature of exchange in artistic production, highlights the risk of disappointment, of misinterpretation, & posits the idea that acquisition & commission are both a burden & a pleasure for the artist.
This is not a process unique to A&E, throughout history artists have been giving & receiving each other's work. As much as the Artswaps provoke a dialogue of how one values, or comes to own & view a work, they also engender the generosity, curiosity & sense of community that is characteristic of artists who group together to swap & discuss each other’s work.
What's Required
Register your work and pay your £3.73 administrative fee via eventbrite by clicking here. http://artswap2013.eventbrite.co.uk/
Submit ONE work that can be easily carried on public transport. This work can take the form of a drawing, sculpture, painting, photograph etc...it's up to you.
Ensure that the title of your work and a weblink to that work are included on your eventbrite submission form. Or if you are unable to provide a direct link please email ONE high resolution j-peg (no larger than 4mb). This email MUST be titled 'Your Name - Artswap' or your application may not be considered. NB you will still need to pay your administrative fee via the link above.
Shortlisted artists are responsible for transporting their work to the exhibition venue 'The Albert' and arranging collection of their new acquisition.
Submitted works must be able to be carried away comfortably on public transport!

Selected artists will be notified by Tuesday 15th January 2013
