Eva Stenram wins the Cord Prize 2013

Congratulations to winner Eva Stenram for her project 'Drape'
Charlotte Cotton said of Eva's submission: 'Eva Stenram's work is a real and deep investigation of how photographic language is embedded in our collective consciousness. She provides abstractions or distillations of pictures that we already know, reduced to an impossible minimum, and yet we still register the narrative at play in these picture conventions. At the same time, Stenram invites us to be conscious of our complicity in the construction of social meaning in how we read photographic imagery.'
