12th BERLINER LISTE at Kraftwerk Berlin
With 123 galleries, project rooms and artists from 23 countries and four continents, the BERLINER LISTE will once again be the biggest art fair in Berlin. The fair takes place from September 17th to 20th, with the opening on Wednesday, September 16th at 6pm. With its sacral industrial architecture, Kraftwerk Berlin is the ideal location to present young, contemporary art. It has been chosen to host the event for the fourth time.
Curator Dr Peter Funken has whittled down the exhibitors from many hundred applications to a selection of emerging galleries and artists with high artistic potential and a current price range of 500 to 7,500 euro. “The BERLINER LISTE 2015 will be a huge, wonderful and very international fair,” says Funken. “Many of the exhibitors have been returning for years and there are numerous new galleries and artists as well as surprises and novelties, performances and art events. The fair is a must-see for anyone who trusts their eyes to discover new art – and who wishes to buy at a reasonable price.”
The Photography Section is particularly significant, and will appear for the third time as an exhibition within the fair. 13 artists, galleries and a publishing group from Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Italy will present their current photography here.
Exhibitors this year include galleries like Galerie Klose contemporary tomorrow (Essen), 418 Contemporary Art Gallery (Bucharest), DUB Gallery (Pelhrimov), Smart Ship Gallery (Tokyo), Gallery HO (New York), Stick Together (Amsterdam), Galerie Kunst am Gendarmenmarkt (Berlin), Nova Galerie (Prague), Galerie Uterstaedt (Berlin), Boiler Galeria (Curitiba, Brazil), Galerie Flox (Kirschau), OPEN WALLS GALLERY (Berlin), Gallery Godo (Seoul, Republic of Korea), Medienwerkstatt (Berlin), Galerie Casa Cuadrada (Bogotà), Galerie Terbeek (Beetsterzwaag, The Netherlands), Atelier Cross Art (Berlin), rivaartecontemporanea (Lecce, Italy), Atelier Alen (Munich).
