The world's first international prize and tour celebrating the very best fine art created digitally

The Lumen Jury is seeking fine art of exceptional merit, originality, and artistic talent created in part or in full with the use of an app or software. Artists may choose to create their entries through the use of graphic design, animation, illustration, digital photography and/or non-narrative time-based work.
Entry fees are US$40 for two jpegs with a file size limit of 1MB
or, if an entry contains moving elements, two URL links to time-based work with maximum length of 30 seconds. If selected for the short-list, artists will be invited to send their work at its original size and/or length.
There is no limit to how many times you can enter. All entries will be displayed in the Lumen Online Gallery which will be open for a public vote to determine the Lumen Online Gallery winner in September
The Lumen Prize Exhibition will be awarding US$5000 worth of cash prizes in 2012. These prizes include:
Our shortlist and winning entries will start traveling the world as the Lumen Prize Exhibition in January 2013, appearing in top galleries and venues around the world. Work will be displayed on LED screens. In those areas without access to electronic display devices, the exhibition will be projected onto tarpaulins or walls.
Participating galleries include Gallery 27, Cork Street, London; Plum Blossoms, Hong Kong; FQ Projects, Shanghai; Robert’s Books, Riga, Latvia as well as locations in Colombo and New York City. We are in discussions with galleries and venues in Melbourne, Berlin, and Harare.
