Salary: £24,000 P/A - pro rata at two days per week (0.4 wte)
The job is offered as a fixed term contract for 13 months.
The Curator will devise and manage g39’s exhibition programme throughout 2015 and into 2016. This is a combination of overseeing the delivery of confirmed aspects of the 2015 programme, curating the remaining seasons of 2015 and planning the Jan-June programme of 2016 with reference to g39s current strategic policies. They will be the main contact for exhibiting artists, offering support and ensuring measures are in place for a smooth delivery of the exhibitions to schedule. They will also have a public facing role, providing curatorial insight of the programme, both in written form and in person.
The Curator will need to have exceptional and uncompromising curatorial vision, built around strategic planning with an excellent understanding of g39’s role in the visual arts ecology of Wales. A knowledge or experience of artist led practice is essential.
