Enter our juried competition for digital art and photography. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable.
 
Forty artists and photographers will be selected! The selected winners receive one print up to 24x36 on museum quality paper to be shown in an international group exhibition in our gallery. The show will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artists.
 
Special consideration will be given to all entrants for inclusion in future shows at LACDA. Many entrants from past competitions have already been included in our exhibits.

How does one’s own assessment change if there is no information at all about the artist? How can one develop a personal definition of value if the sales prices are all identical? What is then a good drawing? ANONYMOUS DRAWINGS is conceptual art and exhibition project all in one: Each and every anonymous artist becomes part of a collective work of art where hierarchies do not exist.

ANONYMOUS DRAWINGS 2015 presents a group exhibition of 700 drawings by 700 international artists at Kunstverein Tiergarten | Galerie Nord, Berlin. The works will be displayed anonymously. All the drawings are available for a symbolic unit sales-price of 200 € each. The artist's identity can only be revealed by the sale.

The exhibition is preceded by an international call for submissions, that is open to everyone. Age, biography or gender will not be requested to be disclosed and do not play any role in the selection. The selection for the exhibition will be made anonymously, too. About the 2015 Summer Academy Programme

“The production of meaning” is the motto of this year's International Summer Academy course programme. We ask about the sense of our (individual or social) conduct, and how meaning can be produced with artistic (critical and curatorial) resources. Many artists are working on this and related themes in very different ways, attempting – to put it simplistically – to understand and represent the world we live in, producing a multiplicity of meanings and opening the way for different interpretations.

Why study at Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts?
The Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts, founded in 1953 by Oskar Kokoschka as the “School of Vision”, in Hohensalzburg Fortress, is the oldest of its kind in Europe. Every year, some 300 participants from more than 40 countries attend some 20 courses.

- open for application to anyone interested
- unique opportunity to study with outstanding artists/curators/writers who mostly don’t hold a professorship elsewhere
- during 1-4 weeks, you can devote yourselves exclusively to reflecting on and producing art.
- individual attention, one-on-one critiques as well as group discussions
- fantastic atmosphere in the ancient locations
- some 90 grants, usually covering participation fee only, are available

Regular application
All prospective participants must apply for acceptance. On the basis of the submitted dossier, the teaching artists select participants. The fees are between € 440.- and € 1,160.-, depending on the duration of the course. Students are entitled to a reduced fee. All applications received by 15 May 2015 will be treated equally. Later applications are welcome, and will be processed in the order received, according to vacancies in the courses.

of methodologies, processes and approaches to performance art, whilst being actively encouraged to delve into new and unchartered territory

A Public Performance Programme of participants’ work will follow the workshop on Saturday June 20. There will be a breakfast feedback session on Sunday 21

For artists, students and practitioners from all creative backgrounds with a keen interest in
performance art approaches/processes. Artists of all experience are welcome.

DEFAULT 15: INVESTIGATION ON THE EXTREME LAND

DEFAULT 15 is an international artistic project hosted in the heel of Italy’s Apulia region (Gagliano del Capo, LE), in the centre of the Mediterranean. Currently in its third edition, this year we present a new topic and format. DEFAULT 15 will provide a context to discuss, imagine and put forward sustainable ideas and artistic production related to the “extreme land” as part of an investigative process launched by Ramdom in 2014 in the frame of GAP project.

THE PROJECT

Ramdom association is calling for artists and researchers to take part in a 7-day group investigation aimed at ideas related to extreme lands and remote areas. The project will focus on the life, culture and social relations of extreme lands where geographic dislocation also functions as a socio-anthropological characteristic of the people who live there. The notion of "extreme" as a point of departure confronts challenges to survival as addressed by many scholars and artists particularly relating to climate and environmental conditions. Situated at the tip of southeast Italy on the Mediterranean, Gagliano del Capo poses as an ideal geographic location to explore diverse interpretations on human and natural landscapes in the context of “extreme”.

DEFAULT 15 will offer the opportunity for selected artists and researchers to be a part of and contribute to an investigation of the extreme land.
During working days participants will develop their research approach in intensive workshops and seminar sessions, they will expand their network and exchange know-how with the support of the guest artist.
Ramdom will work with each artist for the potential development and realization of further proposals and projects.
Particular attention will be given to artists who intend to locate the discourse on the extreme land within a broader context across disciplines and practices.
Works will be in English.

Guest Artist will be the film-maker and visual artist Carlos Casas (www.carloscasas.net).

WHO CAN APPLY
This is an international call open to any artist and researcher from all around the world.
Any creative, artist and researcher aged at least 21 may apply. Application of mid-career artists, researchers, collective and organization are encouraged.

Accommodation and partial board will be provided.
Ramdom will provide at least 2 grants of 700-1000€ each, tax excluded.

Participants are free and highly encouraged to apply for other funds or grants in order to cover their travel expenses.

Active and collaborative participation to the programme is mandatory.
Participants are expected to stay in Gagliano del Capo (LE) for the whole duration of the project (workshop and residency, 6th -12th July 2015).

Candidates can submit their applications from 6th April 2015 to 10th May 2015.

The selected participants will be contacted via e-mail by the end of May 2015 to confirm their participation and sign the Participation Agreement.

1.    Application form completed with the required information (Annex A) (in.doc or pdf format);
2.    An Artist Statement detailing how your practice relates to the extreme land theme and your particular focus of interest, preferably detailing a previously realized project OR a project proposal OR a paper on a theoretical subject related to the thematic framework. (in.doc or pdf  format, max 700 words);
3.    Copy of your Identity card or Passport (please make sure the expiration date is visible);
4.    Curriculum Vitae (biography) with personal data of the artist, their educational background and their former artistic experiences (no more than 2 x A4) ) (in.doc or pdf format);
5.    Portfolio with images of recent works or links to the useful documentation (video, audio, sketches, etc.) – max. 5 images or 1MB/ Video link via Vimeo/YouTube or website link.
6.    Signed Release Note (Annex B);

PLEASE NOTE that all the documents have to be submitted in English. Other languages will not be admitted to the selection.

Selection and promotion:
The winning applications will be determined by the Selection Committee based on the evaluation of: general presentation, creative vision, coherence between previous works and the topics of Default15, critical perspective, sustainability of new potential work.

Autocenter Summer Academy 2015 will take place in the renowned Berlin exhibition space in the very heart of Berlin. This year's program will offer participants a rich combination of practical and theoretical knowledge. A unique atmosphere will allow for formal critic and personal discussion with a wide selection of hand picked international experts drawn from all fields of art. In addition, the ACSA will provide new insights to the art world, its institutions and naturally its active discourse.
 
For ACSA 2015, a three-week program has been created. Participants can choose how long they wish to attend, and in turn select from two weekly courses designed and run by international acclaimed artists. Each course has a maximum of 17 participants, which will give each the opportunity to develop their artistic practice and theory over the course of the week. The course is set-up to allow maximum ability to converse and interact with the teacher - while at the same time being able to immerse themselves in one of the most exciting city art scenes in the world.
 
In addition to the set course, each week’s schedule includes three lectures and an art-tour led by expert journalists, collectors and curators. The guided tours will enable personal visits to studios, galleries and art institutions. At the end of every week, on Saturday evening a public presentation will be held in the Autocenter exhibition space.
 
For the second time we are adding a two-week theory class (1st and 2nd week) this year. Art critic and author Jennifer Allen and architect and critic Thibaut de Ruyter will run it again together after it’s huge success in 2014. Together with up to 15 participants they will focus on theory, history and the actual process of exhibition making.

We invite you to submit your work to the 14th DongGang International Photo Festival, to be held this year from 24th July to 4th October in DongGang, Yeonwol, Korea.

' Life is Beautiful', the main themed and open call titled.

Life is Janus with two faces. Lights and shadows always come together.
In the arts faithful to “now and here”, we can reawaken our sensitivity numbed while adapting to or resisting the ever-changing environments. Nonchalantly or cruelly, the arts explore love for life and telltale desperation.

Submissions must be photographic or lens-based but can include incorporations of other art forms with the photographic medium (i.e. video, performance, painting, sculpture, music, mixed media etc). Individuals and collectives are welcome to apply; individuals should select and enter between six and ten photographs from a particular series or body of work Between 6 and 10 photographers / artists will benefit from:

- award, the winner
- the winners will be eligible for travel and accommodation
- production (printing, framing or related presentation material)
- exhibition exposure at the Festival's main exhibition space/outdoor
- inclusion in art magazine and any related press
- long term festival representation and promotion on official website
- publications/ catalog
- being seen by a substantial number of visual arts professionals and the media
- having their work viewed by an international panel of influential experts in the field of photography
 
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. GENERAL

Objectives
DongGang International Photo Festival aims to feature a quality selection of photography projects from around the world. Festival’s open call is devoted to offering a platform and supporting photography, showcasing ‘new’ photography and related media from emerging and established artists.
 
Venue
The selected projects will be presented to DongGang International Photo Festival in DongGang in main exhibition space, screening or outdoor space.

Dates
The Main Program of DongGang International Photo Festival 2015 will be held from July 24 to Oct 4, 2015.

Eligibility
Submission to DongGang International Photo Festival 2015 is open to artists, collectives, archives, galleries and organizations from around the world.

Entry Deadline
Submissions must be made before 5th May 2015, 00.00 hrs.
There is no entry fee for submissions
 
2.HOW TO SUBMIT

Submissions
must Include – BODY OF WORK: 6~10 digital images in Jpeg format, no more than 1mb each.
CURRICULUM VITAE: A concise one-page CV and other relevant biographical information (PDF)
A short write up about the body of work, no more than 400 words.

How to Enter
DongGang International Photo Festival only accepts online submission through its website. Any incomplete submissions will be rejected.

Receipt Confirmation
Upon receipt, an email confirmation will be sent to the email specified in the application form.
 
3. SELECTED PROJECTS

Selection
All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the curatorial team of the Festival.

Status Notification
All artists will be notified on website and by email of their submission status by 12, May 2015 at the latest.

Exhibition
DongGang International Photo Festival will collect the digital files from selected artists and all production will be provided for the exhibitions.

Publicity
The selected projects will be presented on the Festival’s website and be part of the Festival’s promotional campaign in print and online media, increase awareness of the selected works in the photography community.
