A a day long symposium gathering artists, curators and thinkers to explore, celebrate and challenge the way that parental arts practice is made, curated and presented to the public.
We’ll explore the current role of the maternal / parental voice in practice in it’s widest sense; its sustainability and visibility within arts programming, whilst acknowledging the radical and cutting edge contribution that maternal practice has to offer to the arts as a creative force.
With a keynote address by Deidre O’ Donaghue (M/Other Voices), panel discussions, an artist presentation by the Mothersuckers project, short film screenings and an artist talk within Zena Blackwell’s Seen not Heard exhibition.
