Abbey Awards offer residencies at the BSR for artists (predominantly painters) whose work shows exceptional merit and promise. Abbey residents join a community of around 35 artists, archaeologists, historians and scholars living and working in beautiful studios at the heart of Rome.
The Abbey Scholarship is a 9 month residency beginning October 2019 (stipend of £800 pm).
The Abbey Fellowships provide 3 residencies a year, each lasting 3 months (stipend of £1,200 pm).
British and American artists, and those of any nationality who have recently lived for 5 years in the UK or US, may apply. Please visit the website for more information.
