Moving Images: pause... restart

There are times when a significant event interrupts our lives, and we are put on hold by forces beyond our control. We all experienced this on a grand scale when the world was suspended in uncertainty by COVID-19. As disruptive and distressing as such episodes can be, they can also prompt us to reflect on what is most important to us and change our priorities moving forward.
For Moving Images: pause…. restart, Cabrillo Gallery seeks moving image artworks that address the idea of restarting life with renewed purpose after being thrown off track by a life-shaking event. We welcome all reflections on creating a better life, or even a better world, moving forward, no matter what changes, big or small, you have envisioned to get there.
Eligibility: United States artists
Three cash awards will be presented: $500, $300, $200
Videos must be under 5 minutes.
