Made in Mind is an  independent publishing project dedicated to the promotion of young contemporary visual art. It's  focus is  to provide  visibility to young art, particularly for lesser known visual artists to showcase their work to an international audience which includes  artists, galleries, museums, curators and others interested in art. The aim is to become bridge between the art world and artists. Visual artists of various media are encouraged to enter this juried competition to be included in next issue.

Callout for artworks for DIY Cultures 2016, Rich Mix

DAY FESTIVAL COMMISSIONS

DIY Cultures 2016 returns 29th May to Rich Mix. We are commissioning 3 new artworks for the day festival:

- Communal Table Sculpture - a sculpture which can also be used as a communal table for zines
- Technology/Interactive media artwork - can be sculptural/digital/film based media
- Film/Animation artwork - no longer than 15 minutes running time.

These are paid commissions which will be shown at Rich Mix during the day festival. For the sculpture commission there will be additional funds available for materials on top of the commissioning fee.
Send an email titled "Day Festival Commissions" to diycultur[email protected] with a proposal outlining the following details:

- Commission you are applying for
- Title of work
- Description of proposed artwork
- Approximate size of artwork (resolution and running time etc if film/animation)
- Links to previous artworks
- Biography of artist

RADICAL LIBRARIES

There will also be a DIY Cultures exhibition titled Radical Libraries. We are inviting artists to submit zines, artists' books, and other artworks for Radical Libraries. Themes for the exhibition will include activism, contemporary struggles for reclaiming public space such as local libraries, prison libraries, access to education, collections and manifestos.

There will be a FREE communal table for people with one-off zines to sell. Bring your zines on the day!

Workshops: we aim to have a few workshops exploring different aspects of DIY culture plus some zine-based workshops. If you are interested in hosting a workshop please e-mail [email protected] with the following details:

• Workshop title and general content?
• What would workshop participants do?
• Special requirements, or additional comments?

Film, animation and gifs: We're looking for films, animation and gifs to screen at DIY Cultures. Themes we're interested in this year are justice, activism, radical libraries, mental health, remembrance, unemployment, education, and technology but other themes may also be submitted.
